Frequently asked questions about Qbi
Check out the Qbi community for various exercises, games, exercise activities and tips. The Qbi community is updated regularly as Qbi users share their own exercises or activities with the community.
Qbi is standard delivered with 2 balls. It is then possible to move with 2 persons at the same time. Qbi is upgradable to a maximum of 4 balls. Then it is possible to move with a maximum of 4 people simultaneously.
Qbi requires little or no room. However, it is important that the user(s) have enough freedom to move. If you use the wooden framework, 3 x 3 m is usually sufficient. However the framework does not necessarily have to be placed on the floor and only serves as a border for the ball.
The wooden frame parts are mounted on the Qbi stand. The complete frame consists of 10 normal frame parts and 4 corner parts. Each frame part has four rubber caps. This is the bottom side. The frame parts are joined to each other by a magnetic connection. All the wooden frame parts together form a frame in which the balls can roll.
First determine the size of the frame by placing the 4 corner parts on the floor. The 4 corner parts are labeled with the Qbi-logo. Now place the normal frame parts between the corner parts and lock everything in place.
Take a look at the Qbi-community for more inspiration.
The housing of the balls are made of polycarbonate. This is very strong plastic. The most important property of polycarbonate is its enormous impact resistance. Despite this enormous impact resistance, we advice to handle the robotballs with care.
You can use a ball for up to 3 hours. It takes about ~5 hours before a completely empty ball is fully charged.
At the top right of the screen two round ball icons are displayed. Press the round icon. A pop-up will open showing the battery status of each ball. If the balls charge correctly, a lightning bolt will appear in the ball icon.
Tip:
To make sure that a ball charges correctly, it is best to first place the ball on a hard and flat surface. The centre of gravity is then lowered. This is where the battery is positioned. Now put the ball with the battery downwards on a charge pad. A lightning bolt will appear in the ball icon when the ball is correctly placed on the charger. The ball is now charging. The logo on both balls have no function in terms of charging the balls.
Qbi will automatically switch the balls on when you are in Qbi’s ‘Place ball(s)’ screen.
If Qbi is switched off, the balls will also switch off automatically.
